Mission Statement

Please note that there is no recent update for this initiative.

Who we are

The Egyptian-German Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) was established in 2005 with a planned duration of 10 years. It is a bilateral programme financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by the GIZ in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade.

What we do

We promote sustainable private sector development in Egypt by increasing the resource efficiency of our partners and by the promotion of selected green growth technology strategies.

How we do it

We offer knowledge and green technology transfer, capacity development measures and the promotion of specific innovation networks for private sector enterprises in Egypt.

Our three components therefore deploy a multi-level approach that targets all levels of the Egyptian economy – from grassroots green tech initiatives through to promoting concepts and strategies for ‘green’ policies and strategies.
