D-CAF is pleased to host Catalan Dance Short Films screening event featuring several critically-acclaimed short films made in Catalonia. The films featured are contemporary dance films that have been screened at the International Dance Film Festival of Barcelona ‘Choreoscope’ showcasing the cultural diversity and artistic characteristics of the Catalonic territory.

This evening will be featuring a fine selection of dance films created by internationally-acclaimed artists and companies, in an immense effort to tackleand deliver powerful messages against bullying, homophobia and abuse, by transforming universal themes such as love and overcoming fears into visually-spectacular images, and using art to conserve and honor the cultural identity.

The evening will include screening of films made between 2010 and 2016 like “Ànim,” “Move Away,” “IRØN MODVM,” “The Missing Part,” “De Farol,” “No Room for Doubt,” “Mi Gran Partido,” “Silencios,” “Lynching” and the 2017 Oscar-nominated film “Timecode.”
