Dr. Nicholas Warner is an architect trained at the University of Cambridge. He has lived in Egypt since 1993.
His primary research interest remains the Islamic Architecture of Cairo, but he has also participated in or directed a variety of projects related to the documentation, preservation, and presentation of historic structures and archaeological material throughout the country. These include work in Quseir, Saqqara, the Western Desert Oases, Luxor, Sohag, Aswan and Cairo, where he worked for a number of years on the renovation of theمتحف جاير أندرسون Gayer Anderson Museum.
His academic publications include 'The Monuments of Historic Cairo: a map and descriptive catalogue' and 'The True Description of Cairo: a sixteenth-century Venetian view'.

With this lecture he will be presenting a selection of physical projects carried out in Egypt over the last ten years.
