Roman Bunka
German musician Roman Bunka started out his career with the rock/jazz and world music group Embryon touring in India, Afghanistan, Turkey and Morocco. From his background as a guitarist, he went on to learn to play the oud, which he used to develop a style of avant garde rock with oriental melodies. Bunka toured the Arab region with solo concerts in Tunis, Cairo, Damascus, Aleppo, Beirut and Sanaa. In his long active career, he has accompanied Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu and Turkish fusion jazz percussionist Okay Temiz. In Egypt, he collaborated with Mohammed Monir to present Egyptian pop music with an international flavour. He also worked with Egyptian violinist Abdo Daghir when composing the soundtrack for German production movie Al Oud, featuring a variety of Eastern musicians. His award-winning work includes the live recording of his project Color Me Cairo, featuring the Fathy Salama Ensemble from Egypt and Malachi Favors from the Art Ensemble of Chicago.

All concerts start at 8:30 PM
Al Azhar Park - Salah Salem Rd. – Darassa
