Mission Statement


The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) prepares its graduates, to take the lead in shaping the future of their nations and the world at large, with a strong belief in the complimentarity of international and public affairs, an unwavering commitment to ethics and the rule of law, and a recognition of the unique role the media plays in shaping public policies.

The GAPP's disciplines in law, media and journalism, and public policy and public administration provide its graduates with solid professional and analytic competencies based on a multidisciplinary academic foundation. Its academic and research centers and programs provide the graduates with analytic tools, and the students and faculty with field experiences in the context of a broad global perspective to support high quality research, multi-disciplinary policy making and participatory dialogue on questions in the public domain.

The GAPP's location in Egypt, at the crossroads of Africa, Asia and Europe, immerse its graduates and faculty in an environment of cross-cultural diversity and expose them to numerous world shaping social, economic and political developments.
