How can the future housing in Egypt play a pivotal role in overcoming the challenge of an estimated annual demand of 500,000 housing units, an anticipated demographic change with 60% of the population less than 30 years old, and around 800,000 jobs needed annually?

The seminar will shed light on the triad potentials of urban development, using a case study in one of the informal areas in Giza, Greater Cairo. The results demonstrate how flexibility and technology can play a major role towards resolving the chronic housing challenge, and yet can improve the quality of life of a large spectrum of Egyptians.

Feedback during the seminar will help enrich the proposed change and explore future channels for national and international collaborations for future implementation.
